We’re looking to extend our in-house product team building our home services platform with a frontend developer with solid experience and a full-stack mindset. Freska’s product teams are cross-functional, responsible for the end-to-end development and maintenance of their products while solving business cases through design, implementation and operations.
Areas of responsibility:
You’ll have a vital role in the development of our home services platform and related products. You will work in our team to maintain and develop our unique internal platform whilst continually learning and participating in the complete product cycle.
You will be developing new services and features to make our workers and customers’ lives easier and our business work better.
You will actively support our products when it comes to, e.g. changes to the UI and interactions with our backend systems.
You will develop product thinking — you’ll work together with our product managers and users to understand the why and create solutions.
Our front-end stack today consists of React, TypeScript, and GraphQL. We build micro-frontends using Single SPA.
On the back-end, we use Ruby, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and Redis. We run everything with Kubernetes on Google Cloud — fully automated with Terraform, Helm, and CircleCI. We prefer micro-services over monoliths. For mobile apps, our choice is Flutter.
The candidate we are looking for is someone who:
Has solid experience with React and Typescript.
Has a full-stack mindset.
Pays attention to and has a solid understanding of web accessibility standards and semantic HTML.
Thinks it's essential to deliver code that is easy to test, maintain and extend.
Believes in taking responsibility to fix things.
Loves to dig deep into complex business problems.
Thinks that many brains are better than one.
Has a "Can do!" and positive mindset and willingness to learn.
Proficient and comfortable with using English as a working language.
